Can from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Salford. Black with a thin off-white head. Stated but quite milky stout too, making it a little easier given there's a lot of depth to this brew. Has plenty of nose.

Keg at BrewDog Camden, 01/11/23. Black with a khaki head. Nose is mellow roast, chocolate, charr, dark malts, modest coffee notes. Taste comprises cocoa powder, roast malts, light ashen tones, dried fruit rinds, brown sugars, again lacking coffee impact. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close Expected more from this given the scores then I saw it was super market piffle so no wonder it was dumbed down on the coffee front. A touch overly sweet and lacking coffee.

On tap at BrewDog Soho, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out gentle coffee, dark fruits, and some lactose. Flavour is fruity, with lots of lactose and gentle coffee. Fruity, coffee-like finish. Good stuff.
