We wanted to brew an American Double IPA that would bring us back to the old days. When IPAs were clear, copper colored and had a lasting, lingering bitterness.
Despite contemporary rating trends we hope to bring back a variation of styles and hopefully show how pleasant bitterness can be.
This beer is an homage to one of the beers that once sparked my own love for hoppy beers. A legendary beer that in many ways paved the way for modern IPAs.
More than generously hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial, Columbus and Cascade hops. 100+ IBU.

(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 May 2025) Pale amber colour, hazy, with creamy tan head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, apricots, caramel and orange peel. Malty, hoppy taste with citrus, orange peel, pink grapefruit, toast, caramel, pine needles and a generous citric/piney bitterness. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well made, with a rich hop presence. Very nice.

Men riktigt gott ändå.

330ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Shared with Finn. Large white head, rich lacing, near-clear dark amber body. Inviting smell of ripe fruits with a citric twist. Fine balanced taste of citrus, including grapefruits, and mild malty sweetness. On the bitter side of a bittersweet fruity ending. Fine bodied. Like it. (Tromsø, 30.08.2024).

Spandert av - og delt med Rune. Mørk stråfarget. Klar. Lavt luftig skum. Litt lacing. God fruktaroma. Plommer & fersken. Smaken tørket frukt. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning.
