Starts off like a pale ale, finishes and drinks like an IPA. Light hop aroma, full hop taste and finish.

Sample at Taphouse Grill in Seattle. Slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium off-white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Stringy lace. Piney hops, fruit and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of piney hops, tropical fruit and caramel malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. It pours hazy clear orange - gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, bready, brioche, orange citrus and sweet marmalade. The taste is crisp, dry, toasty grain, cereal, grapefruit, orange, peel, straw, pithy, marmalade and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent enough, but lacks wow.

Thanks a ton, Frank!
This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a murky orange color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head. Not much lace, but what was there, slid into the beer.
The aroma had some sweet to bitter grassy/floral/herbal grapefruit pulp and rind tones over a stiff piney hop backbone. Malts seemed there, but quaint and smooth.
The flavor brought on the sweetness of the blend of hops to malts. Aftertaste was hop coated maltiness. Finish was semi-sticky but with a good sturdy sliding eloquence.
The palate was medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected. Hop abrasion doesn’t occur and a helpful smoothness seemed to let the hops just slide over my tongue.
Overall, damn good APA, West coast styled to the fullest and would love to have another one if I could get it again! Frank you rock, man!
