5.7% alk. Jako lijepi sweet stout. Inače kategorija pive sa kojom sam osvojio zlato. Ova nema vaniliju pa je pitkija od moje. U svakom slučaju jedan jako lijepi i pitki stout. Već dugo nisam pio dobar komercijalni stout.

330ml can. Darkest brown colour with huge, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Lactic and chocolately, dark malty aroma, some caramel, weak fruity and leafy hoppy overtones with a touch of red currant and artificial strawberry. Taste is initially slightly sugary and chocolately, dark malty, later more roasty with hints of coffee. Slightly unbalanced, disharmonious.

Can, 0.33l. Black pour with one finger creamy beige head. Ok retention, lasting thin layer on top keaving some nice lacing. Somewhat grainy on the nose. Roasted malts and hints of cocoa. Thin body. Average carbonation and texture. Very light mouthfeel. Taste is quite bitter, which is odd considering that this one is supposed to be sweet stout. Aroma of grains and roasted malts. Very faint hints of cocoa and coffee. Aroma is totally overpowered by that off-placed bitterness. Flat and empty. I had similar experiences with Zmajsko Porter before and it turned out it was a bad batch. I’ll assume it’s the same case here so for the time being I’ll leave the generic rating and re-rate it as soon as I get the opportunity, hopefully soon. And hopefully a good can. 2.5 / 5 ======= Second can. This one was much better than the first one. Better aroma, coffee and chocolate notes. Licorice. Some woody and earthy notes. Slight bitterness present in the aftertaste. A decent stout, although still a bit too thin and watery for my taste.

Can from Naiv bottle store, Frankfurt. Pours black with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, roasting, vanilla, lactose, dark fruit and peppermint. Quite heavy milky sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Starts well but begins to turn a little sour after a while.

Keg at London Beer House. It pours darkest reddish - brown with a beige head. The aroma is toasty, plenty of coffee, chocolate, creaminess, milk chocolate, fruit cake and toasted oats. The taste is bitter - sweet, chocolate, some creaminess, earthy roast, plenty of coffee, cake, fudge and a touch of alcohol with a toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty. Good stuff.

Garden Brewery tap takeover at Mason & Company, Hackney Wick on 11th March 2017. Half-pint. Very dark brown/black bodied, beige top. Roasted/toasted malts which gave off chocolate and coffee esters and flavours in the nose and taste, light liquorice taste also. Uncomplicated and pleasant Milk Stout, smooth and easy to drink.
