Original description (2016):
Inspirirana IPA-ima američkog sjeveroistoka. Zlatne boje s bogatom pjenom, dok aroma odaje note borovine, breskve i marakuje. Na paleti okusa izdvajaju se marelica te naranča, a dobro ujednačena gorčina upotpunjena je slatkoćom južnopacifičkog hmelja i jedinstvenog kvasca. Vrlo pitka IPA punog okusa i srednje karbonizacije. 6.5%, 60 IBU, SRM: 7

Can 330ml (DO)
Amber colour, medium-sized white head. Grassy, fruity, rustic spruce needle IPA aroma. Light-bodied. Flavour is similar: caramel, fruits, spruce needles in the flavour. Tolerable.

Croatian IPA made with a more complex malt bill than is usually the case in 'generic' IPA and containing no less than five hop varieties; can bought online. Thick and frothy, thickly cobweb-lacing, beaten egg-white, very moussy and firm head on an initially clear, deep orange-hued 'old golden' beer with visible sparkling, turning misty and a bit deeper orange with sediment. Aroma of toasted onion (Simcoe), dust (!), brown soap (the torrefied wheat perhaps), dried orange peel, rusk, fresh dandelion leaves, young mugwort, dry white pepper, hints of old cookies, lavender-scented hand soap, grapefruit zest, thyme, roasted peanuts, persimmon. Fruity onset in a dryish way, persimmon, dried apricot and green starfruit, minerally carbonation but on the soft side (fit for IPA in general I suppose) with smooth, slick, oily mouthfeel; supple rusk- and dry cracker-like malts with that 'torrefied wheat' effect adding both a toasty note (peanut) and a slight soapiness, increasingly bittered by a generous dosage of hops, ranging from wormwood and grapefruit peel over pink peppercorns to bitter herbs (dandelion, savory, hogweed) with a thin oniony edge I would ascribe to Simcoe and something orange peel-like in line with Cascade. Peppery Azacca is also recognisable but the spicy fruitiness of Zythos and yellow sweet fruitiness of Mandarina Bavaria are all but undetectable. Long finish, but remaining soft and smooth, not turning harshly bitter anywhere - yet still this generic-like IPA still fully conveys an IPA experience in its purest, most basic form; a bit too herbal perhaps for some, with that 'bitter green garden weeds' effect becoming rather dominant in the end, but clean and to the point - and far removed from the sweet 'fruit juice' IPAs one encounters all too often these days. Reminds me a bit of oldskool East Coast IPA, briefly popular before its offspring NEIPA took over, though apparently this one is intentionally designed as a 'mountain IPA', holding the middle between West Coast IPA and NEIPA. Even ignoring this, as with many European IPAs today, it has retained a certain old-fashioned purity, making it all the more charming. Have a point for that.

6,0% ABV.

Canned. Amber colour, mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is zest, peach, some mango and mild floral notes. Flavour is a bunch of ftuity and nectary notes with some slight sweet malts and a nice big peachy finish. Easy to drink and very refreshing.

Can, a bit past the BB date. Cloudy amber, offwhite cream. Lychee, peach, citrus notes, just the barest note of cheesecake. Medium body, fruit nectar mouthfeel, chewy fruit, light tropics, melon, citrus. quite pleasantly balanced full IPA.
