Dry malty caramel in the nose. The beer starts caramelly deep, moderate bitter, caramelly fruity deep, creamy, moderate bitter. Caramel with concentrated grain in the aftertaste, fantastic deep, roasted. Burned sugars, great. Thanks David!

Huge thanks to markoijelena for that one! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass deep black, no head. Heavy alcoholic malty aroma. Starts intense sweetish malty, alcoholic, intense chocolate notes. Bourbon woody. Finish with coffee notes, chocolate, not as sweet as the beginning. Goes down warming. Impressive one!

Tap at Beerheadz, Nottingham April 2019, for Great Friday. Pours oily black with a few bubbles of tan top. Aroma: powerful, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, red fruits. Taste: aloso powerful, heavy sweet, chocolate, coffee, plum, grape, wine, cocoa, ripe fruit, intense alcohol. Full body with virtually no carbonation. Not for the faint hearted!

Black beer, no head, aroma is whisky, light roasted malts, light fruity, taste is the same, whisky, light roast, light coffee, light malt, boozy, alcohol warmth. It says balance but i could be drinking a speyside whisky instead of a imperial stout. Balance is quite a way from this if you ask me. Too much whisky aroma and taste… yes its possible if you ask me.

Bottle. Color: Black, very thin beige head. Arom: Roasted malt, chocolate, black coffee, Whiskey, hints of Iodine. Taste: Dense, over moderate to medium sweet, moderate to over moderate bitter, booze, Whiskey, grain, roasted malt, iodine, peat hints, oak wood. Complex and well balanced. Full body, below average carbonation. Dense and concentrated mouthfeel. Heavy stuff, but not only heavy alcoholic, a lot of (concentrated) flavours to explore and enjoy. Very sticky. Very nice strong Eisbock. One to enjoy slow sipping on a relaxing evening.

Sampled between ratebeer and brewver, so no extensive review available. Bit too boozy and simple to me, the eisbock doesnt bring much new
