Flinders Rose Gose is a lightly salted wheat beer, a Leipzig original, that we tweak with the addition of freshly harvested caper flowers from Gozo. This beer is our celebration of the summer season, when the island of Gozo is literally covered in blooming caper bushes. We hand-harvest the caper flowers and add them to the boil together with sea salt and local coriander. Delicately floral and spicy notes mingle with ripe citrus tartness and a soft, lightly salty finish that instantly calls for another.

Tap at 67Kapitali. Pale golden pour, white head. Nose is floral, somewhat spicy and phenolic. Taste is slight malts, spices, floral touches. Closes with a malty, somewhat tart, somewhat floral finish. Light bodied with soft to average carbo. Easy and refreshing but not too strong in character, and also could’ve been more sour.

Bottiglia.

GBBF Day 2. Bottle. Light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth airy palate, decent fine carbonation. Very floral gose this one. The mild savoury note is more than compensated by the soft and semi sweet floralness. A mild floral citrus with a little seltzer fruits. Interesting Gose.

Nearly clear yellow, no head really. Weak wheaty aroma. Sweetish wheat malt flavour, light hint of salt and coriander. Herbal notes in the finish.
