A complex aroma with lots of cedar and pine upfront. This develops into pineapple, bready notes and crunchy rye spice. Revisiting whips up a touch of red apple and blueberry. On the palate, it’s full-bodied with orange pith zest and the upfront sweetness draws out to a lingering bitterness.

Can at home while preparing dinner. Looks great in the glass, but the taste is a bit too much on the weird side for me. Lots going on for the abv, but not something to revisit.

Can. Clear deep amber brown beer, decent pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin malts but, not short on flavour, abundant rye richness, mild spice and a little dark toffee. Crisp pine hop intro into good marmaladey orange and a whisper of grapefruit. Light dry crisp finish. Nice job, a nice flavour intensity and very drinkable despite the dryness. Hard to believe this is the same brewery who produced that shit sipa I had a few mins ago.

Can that my lovely wife bought me from Bury Lane Farm Shop, Royston - thank you wifey! Chestnut-brown with an off white head and quite a strong carbonation. Tropical fruit and rye bread and pine and nuts and orange. Nice hops and nice malts, but I'm not sure the two match together very well. Interesting, slightly odd and definitely a bit too fizzy.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is wooden, some slight rye tones with mild floral, fruity and some herbal tones. Flavour is floral, fruity, nectary, some mild toasted tones with a bit nuttiness. A bit on the watery side of things, otherwise a nice brew.

Can 44 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with a small, creamy, beige head. Nose is really off-putting, smells like sewage. Light body, dry and nutty , still some sewage notes but fainter. Bitter finish. 020424
