Cask at the Pot Still, Glasgow. Dark brown. Close to black with a small beige head. Light roast malt aroma, touches of coffee, blackberry, ash. Sweet taste with a slightly sour dryness on the finish. More fruit and ash here. Light body with soft carbonation. Nice.

Keg at Fierce bar Aberdeen. It pours opaque jet black with a thick, dense brown head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, plenty of chocolate, cacao nibs, coffee grounds, touch of toffee and liquorice allsorts. The taste is dry, but smoothes out, dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet, coffee grounds, light umami/liquorice, decent hit of dark chocolate, touch of praline and charred edges with a dry roasty finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and smooth velvety mouth feel. Nice competition for Guinness & Black Heart. Drinks super easy.

Deep brown to black. Nose of instant coffee, sweet chocolate. Taste of instant coffee again with chocolate and sweet malt backing it up. OK.
