20/4/2024. Cask at The Artichoke, Norwich. Pours very dark ruby black with a bubbly/frothy beige head. Aroma is rich chocolate, chocolate cake, chocolate crunch, roasted malt, vanilla, dark fruits, caramel, biscuit. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

Cask at Cloisters. Darkest brown to black, frothy brown cream. Licorice, dark roast nose. Creamy medium full milk chocolate and caramel base. Lovely dessert, somewhere between a chocolate mousse and creme brûlée.

Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Charcoal-black with a thick creamy slightly off-white head. Lots of chocolate here, which lingers longer. Mildly floral nose.
