Sample (thanks fonefan!). Coppery dark brown colour, close to black, with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, quite strong wood with a bit of caramel and vanilla too. Flavour is dried fruits, some cognac like tones, wood, mild caramel, alcohol and some slight vanilla elements to it. Alcohol gives a slight kick, but doesn't disturb. Mellow, and surprisingly easy to drink.

ABV: 13.0%. Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, toasted - roasted, caramel, dark malt, barrel, leather, dried fruit, wood, oak. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate to light bitter with a long duration, dried fruit, dark fruit, barrel, barrel - vanilla, wood - tobacco, light leather - smoke, umami touch. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240306]

Draught @ Studenterhuset Ølfestival. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma of malt, caramel, brown sugar, wood, alcohol. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, brown sugar, dried fruit, wood, alcohol. Full body, soft to average carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 181123
