Dark black color with a fine frothy big off white head. Good lacing. Looks good and inviting. Nice hoppy aroma with a fine intensity. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation level. Dry ending and a moderate sweetness. Coffee, roast, citric, mild fruity and pine in the flavor. The flavor stays in the back of your mouth.

33cl bottle from Uba ja Humal, Tallinn. Pours close to black with a beige head. Quite hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, some roasty notes, licorice and hints of dark fruits. Moderate to medium sweet with nice mixture of hoppy and mild roasty flavours with a pleasant bitterness. Tasty and enjoyable.

Small bottle and big bottle, the two bottles were very different despite having same BB. Pours black. Small bottle had some buttery diacetyl flavors and aromas, wasn’t really good. Rating: 5:3:5:3:10=2.6. Big bottle had nice roast, some decent citric and piney hops. Body was bit thin and would have liked more hops, but otherwise it was Black IPA as I like my black ipa-s.

Keg at the Eebria taproom - Bermondsey, London. Pours clear, deep cola brown with a dense, lasting beige cream head. Mellow roast in the nose, some burnt pine, orange peel. Light-medium sweet flavor with mellow ashy roast, chocolatey malts, earth, rindy citrus, pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Pretty well balanced on the finish, with more cocoa, light minerality, roasted malts, toasted pine, burnt sugars, orange rind. Good CDA overall.
