Special surprise keg, and exactly the sort of beer I look for in life. Blackish brown, flat, thick. Smells sweet, apple brandy, vanilla, chocolate. Thick and slow, bit boozy. Tastes sweet, great barrel, lovely chocolate and vanilla. Delicious!

CPH draught, 5/16/24. Clear, dark chestnut. Small, dark beige head, quickly to spotty cover. Wow that's interesting. Smells like a mix of hazelnut and almond liqueur. Some vanilla mixing in, with rich, cakey malts. Not as much barrel character as I'd like, and it leaves you wondering if this is going to be a sweet, cakey mess. Not boozey, though. Marzipan, heavy almond liqueur, moderate coconut and moderate vanilla. Just enough attenuation and just enough dryness from the barrel, with light acidity and a strong hazelnut character lingering. Wish there was a bit more barrel character, but this comes together surprisingly well.
