Bottle at SHIG place tasting, picked up from Bottlebox Norfolk, 16/04/23. Black with a kahki cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is dark chocolate, molasses, mellow barrel, toffee fudge, brown sugar melt. Taste comprises dark chocolate, spice, molasses, brown sugar melt, ripe bourbon kiss, mellow roast. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with a balanced rising boost cloaked in bourbon. Solid.

Bottle shared at shigs place in Newport news Virginia. Many thanks to Colin. A dark black coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, black liquorice, nutty, caramel brown sugars, stale coffee. Flavour is composed semi sweet, rich earthy roast, cakey, malts, spicy cakey malts, bitter roast, liquorice palate is oily, semi sweet, oily, super rich.

Bottle shared thanks to Cloin: Poured a deep brown with a tan colored ring head. Aroma is vanilla, boozy, chocolate, toasty. Taste is vanilla, toffee, dark fruits, dates, chocolate, boozy, coconut.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours dark brn/blk with a dark tan creamy head. Aroma is roasty malt, whiskey and chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, whiskey, roasty malt, ash and notes of dark fruits - more cherry than plum/prune. Not dry, but avoids sticky. Heat is discernible. Nice brew.

12 oz bottle (Vintage No. 15) picked up at the Firestone Brewery Store today aged in bourbon and wheated whiskey barrels similar to the 2021 Double Barrel VersionNose is roast, coffee, chocolate, and a little whiskey. Black with a medium, lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is char, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, whiskey, and a hint of cherry.
