Smooth beginning. Soft mild Weizen yeast, soft bitterness, slightly sweetish in the back. Bock-beer booze in the aftertaste with a nice fruity bitter Weizen clove aroma. Great complex bitterness, fruity, nice.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange with a decent white head. Aroma of bananas, malts, clove, yeast and wheat with a little bit of vanilla. Taste of bananas, wheat, caramel, honey, a little bit of clove, oranges and yeast. Low to moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Nice one.

0.33 l bottle from 'Getränke Hoffmann' (Recklinghausen), best before April 2024. A bit hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, malty, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity-floral aroma of honey, banana, clove, some caramel and hints of pear. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity-floral taste of banana, clove, grains, honey and a touch of pear, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little chalky finish. Medium to full body, smooth but rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Didn't know what to expect, but I'm happy that the lager specialists can brew a decent Weizenbock as well.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average to huge, thick, dense, creamy, moderatly lasting and lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, slightly fruity hoppy and minimally yeasty spicy aroma, notes of banana and mandarine, a touch of pear and clove. Taste is sweet, pale malty with a minimally starchy touch, minimally wheaty malty, slightly yeasty fruity, minimally fruity hoppy and yeasty spicy, minimally diluted hints of banana, mandarine, a touch of pear, orange, clove; minimally dry, leafy hoppy finish. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation. Very nice appearance and mouthfeel, a tad simple and streamlined, sadly with a minimally starchy touch - not bad, though.
