Peroni Gran Riserva Puro Malto è caratterizzata da un aroma delicato con prevalenza di note di malto e fini note di luppolo aromatico. Inoltre il doppio processo di decozione con impasto a bassa temperatura, a cui viene sottoposta, le conferisce note peculiari di cereali tostati e spezie. La decisa presenza di amaro fine e non persistente compensa la dolcezza del malto, dando vita ad un prodotto di altissima qualità, amabile, dal sapore unico e facile da bere, ideale per esaltare il gusto dei piatti della nostra tradizione.

Il gusto al naso finisce sull’orzo, L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una scarsa tenuta ed è formato da bollicine medie a carbonazione media. La consistenza del liquido è limpida. Le bollicine sono medie. La carbonazione è media, persistente ed insistita. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è medio. L’amaro è medio. L’intensità gustativa è normale e la persistenza gustativa è sufficiente. Il finale è amarognolo e semplice. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Il tetto della bocca riporta sentori di pane, orzo, cereali, resina e alcol presente.

500ml bottle into shaker. Puro Malto indeed! Aroma is caramel malt. Golden beer with thin white head and medium carbonation. Laces well. Full bodied, oily texture. Finishes with more caramel malt then a touch of fruity bitters. About as good as a macro euro-lager can get. Nice bottle too.

Bottle, Sirmione, Lago di Garda. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, light grain, caramel, light sweet. Flavor is light sweet, malty, grain, little corn, caramel. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, light sweet finish. 210815

Thanks to Rian for sharing this beer! The beer starts smooth malty, quite sweetish, hints of water there. In the mainpart it gets a bit watery, but still smooth-malty with a nice bitterness till the end.

Golden color with small white head. Smell is malt and some little hoppiness. Taste too. Not so different than normal Peroni, just with a more nice bottle to remind a craft beer, but it’s not.

50 cl bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Toasted malty and breadish. Bitter, grassy snd toasted malty. Grassy and bitter finish.

Peroni Gran Riserva series revealed a nice surprise, but this blond version finds me really skeptical. 50 cl bottle. 5.2%, yellow color with some particles in suspension and average white head. Taste... hey looks like a German lager, with something in common with Helles. Blond malts in a decent amount and some grassy hops make it somewhat classic and straightforward, nowhere near as the standard Peroni. Average carbonation, dry finish. Nice one for the brand, still average compared to the market.
