Brewed with coffee beans roasted by Has Bean, lactose and cacao nibs from Beau Cacao. 08|09 is a smooth, sweet and creamy stout with a chocolatey milky sweetness perfectly balanced by the roasted bitterness of the coffee.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is roasted malt with plenty of coffee, chocolate, mocha, hazel nut, some creamy lactose. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Body is medium with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. A Coffee Stout done very well, packs a lot of flavour for a 4.5%.

From backlog. 330ml bottle. Slightly roasty and heavy with lactic milky notes, hints of tartness, coffee and loads of carbonation. Feels a bit off.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty dark malty aroma, notes of mocha and cocoa, hints of dark chocolate, minmally leafy, hoppy overtones. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, notes of mocha, cocoa, dark chocolate, hints of milk chocolate with subtle sweetness, hoppy overtones with a leafy and fruity touch; increasing fruitiness leads to a lingering, chocolately and fruity finish with notes of raspberry and cherry. A late bloomer in some aspects - really good Stout.
