Svrchně kvašený vysokostupňový speciál s lehoučkým nádechem nakuřovaného sladu. Zemitě hořký s plným tělem a pěknou stabilní pěnou.

Bottle @ Mid March Tasting, Ulfborg 2012. Bought @ Pivoteka Zly Casy. Pours cloudy ruby amber with a small creamy head. Mild smoke, wood, caramel and hops. Medium and smooth. Quite nice and a very clean Kocour (A rarity).

Actually, "my" Saurus claims 20° Plato... Good yellow head over foxy copper-amber clear beer. Hops, bit nutty, caramel, parsley. (Hazel-)nutoil wafting up with warming. Quite bitterish, with caramel, as the caramel-hazelnut lollipops from the fairgrounds, but not really sweet. Like an ultra Ur-Bock, leafy and leaning towards dry attenuation, and better hopped. Caramel to toffee retronasal. Only after a lot of warming up, and then only retronasal, one gets phenolic smokiness. Medium bodied at least. Good balance sweet-bitter and rather well-carbonated MF. One to grow upon you. Congrats, Jan, with this recipe! Many thanks to Honza and Denisa!

bottle from U Medvídků. Brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Smoky nose. Full-bodied, malty base with a nice smoky character. American citrusy hops go well with the smoky character of the beer. Interesting and very convincing.
