The first ever pale ale we developed when still brewing on a kitchen stove. Happy to say it hasn’t changed much since its humble beginnings, it’s still a refreshing, clean and citric pale ale perfect for a sunny day.

Special Citra version - originally in 2018 and later released at the Nottingham Beer Festival at a slightly higher 4.2% abv.

Gravicask as PAL Citra, 4.2 % abv, at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival 2022, Marquee Bar. Shared with Finn. Hazy golden body, filmy layer, dotted spots on the nose. Subdued peachy nose. Flavoured with grassy hops joined by moments of canned fruits. Mid-dry, and rather sweet fruity ending. Approved. (Nottingham 13.10.2022).

Keg at the Sutton Arms, Barbican / Clerkenwell hinterland, 13/12/18. Haze on a golden orange pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is mellow citric peel, toasted grains, melon, tangerine. Taste comprises orange pith, melon, light breads, toasted malts, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Passable pale but nothing to revisit in today's market.
