Self-pour, about 100ml, tap at Tap House Notts. Coal black body, filmy layer, spotty lacing. Inviting aromas of chocolate and earthy malts. Rich chocolate-caramel flavours, lactose backdrop. Chocolate malts to the finish, nicely roasted. Well bodied. Good drinking. (Nottingham 11.10.2022).

Keg at the Ascot Brewery taproom, 07/08/22. Black with a decent tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is toffee, charr, mellow roast, dried fruit esters, coffee bean. Taste comprises coffee grinds, chocolate, spice, roast malts, raisins, trace of menthol. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent flavoursome stout ... some good coffee vibes.

Cask at Egham Beer Fest. Aroma of dusty coffee. Dark opaqueness. Thin foamy beige head. There's a bitter coffee core surrounded by burnt caramel and cream. Molasses. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable.
