At tasting, thanks, samllish bubbly head, opaque very dark brown color, aroma of vanila, light barrel notes, mellow coffee and roasted notes, flavor of roasted coffee beans, dark bread, dark caramel and earthy hints, noticable sweetness, alcoholic bitterness. Nice.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt, chocolate and roast, with notes of yeast. Bitter, roasty and hoppy flavour with notes of coffee and touches of malt and fruit. Bitter, roasty and boozy aftertaste with estery touches and mild acidic hints. Warming alcohol presence. Reasonable.

Bottle, 9.1%. Citric, vinous aroma, lactose, bitter chocolate. Black colour, seems clear. Good stable light brown head. The flavour has alcohol and quite bitter chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Some alcohol bitterness. Low carbonation. More sweetness in the finish. The initial sweetness is sugary, but the final sweetness is more berry-like. I like the latter better.

Bottle at BenH. It pours darkest ruby - black with a small, bubbly tan head. The aroma is sweet, oily, cookie dough, burnt tires, espresso coffee, cocoa, rocky road, damson, plum and date. The taste is slick, bitter, oily, rich roasted malt, espresso, date, prune, vanilla, rocky road, coffee cake, warming alcohol and sole spice with a rich roasted malt with an alcohol finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Not bad,. Decent flavour.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out bourbon upfront, with light vanilla, and coffee. Flavour follows accordingly, with notes of bourbon, espresso beans, and light vanilla. The bourbon barrel aged espresso beans are used wonderfully here. Excellent.
