Bottle pour @ Biere a Lille. Misty yellow appearance, small white head. Aroma presents a prominent barrel influence, running deep into the flavour profile with an encompassing gueuze profile. Delightful.

From bottle at Carnivale Brettanomyces 2024. Complex and rich with notes of cognac, citrus, oak, funk. Puckering sourness, light acidic. Great stuff!

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear orange colored beer, close to no head. Citrusy, funky aroma, with leather, orange, lemon, oak and a light booze hint. It's tart and lightly acidic, dry and medium bodied, with a good carbonation. Funk, leather and lemon, with oak and hints of grass and orange. Some booze too, in a nice way. Lasting funky, fruity finish. Quite delicious this one. And not surprisingly, as the beer warms up from fridge cold to at least 10-12 degrees C, it opens up, revealing more fruityness, more oak and booze, some tannins and even more nice funk. Upping my score from 3.7 to 4.0. 240718

Fast gone white rim over lively carbonated, veiled ochre-golden beer. Cognac, biscuit, soft wood and the farmyard/horseblanket in the background. Bit diary, sweetened buttermilk. Diary returning, the cognac pushed a bit more to the background. Mals in flavour and MF. Bread, wheat, sour apples. Acidburn/-thinning, lipsmacking acidity, better carbonated than it looks. Very specially treated gueuze, unsettling in the good way. Txs to Stef!
