Luke 12 i julekalenderen fra Statens Nisselaug, hjemme: brunsvart med tett cremeskum som varer. En skyldfri symfoni av liflige sjokoladeinntrykk med sterk kaffe og et snert av pepper eller chili i avslutningen. Et lys i den mørke vinternatt. Jeg setter Ole Paus på stereoanlegget, in memoriam.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Slowly diminishing fawn-coloured head, rings of lace down the glass, jet black in body appearance. Rather strong malty smell, roasted and a bit doughy. Depth in flavour profile with chocolate malts, syrup, and a backdrop of coffee. Warming, roasted, lingering end, mid-sweet. Nice slow sipper qualities. (Tromsø 14.03.2023).

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter kakao og lakris. Fyldig. Smaker salt lakris, mørk sjokolade og kaffe. Lang.

Kumlefjorden juleølsmaking 2022. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Flavorm is roasted malt, oat, spices, yeast, chocolate, coffee, lactose, sugar, pine. Bitter finish . Nice beer.

Can. An unclear dark brown beer with a small, dense tan head. Spiced, piney aroma with lots of dark roasted malts, along with some coffee and chocolate. Some soy sauce notes. It’s full-bodied, warming and sticky-sweet on the palate, nicely carbonated, with flavors of brown sugar, caramel, toffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate and soy sauce notes. Quite bitter, with piney, resiny hops. Lasting finish with quite a lot of bitterness. Even though it’s a really sweet one, it feels too bitter. Sort of nice anyway. 221126

Svart med tynt beige skum som henger i glassveggen. Lukter røste t malt, karamell og sjokolade. Veldig søt. Og noe tam. Sjokolade, sirup og karamell. Litt skuffet da det blir noe tamt for meg. Gir den en ny sjanse når den kommer i salg på vinmonopolet.
