On tap at the brewpub. A clear dark brown to black beer with a small dark beige head. The aroma is roasted and lightly burnt, with some licorice and a good piney touch. It's full bodied and lightly warming, pleasantly carbonated, with a good bitterness. Roasted malts, burnt malts, licorice, pine cones and grapefruit zest. Lasting malty finish. Too malty, but quite nice anyway. 241025

200ml draught at the brewery, Matkvartalet. Stable beige head over a near-black body, fair lacing. Nicely roasted smell, malt-fruity. Fine blended taste of pine needles and moderate malty sweetness, some notes of bread and liquorice. Roasted malt-fruity, bitter end. Nice. (Hamar 06.01.2023).
