Saison is a light Belgian beer. Saison has traditionally been brewed as a drink by field workers in the French-speaking part of Belgium, Wallonia. Due to the high working temperatures of the yeast, this beer has peppery / mustard aromas and light cloves.

330ml bottle. Hazy orange with a white head. A lot of yeast on the nose, spicy, fruits, bready malt, floral. Taste is also very yeasty, quite spicy, citrus fruits, herbal, bitter finish. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation. Good drinkability but it's a little too yeast dominant for my liking.

Pours hazy orange with some white foam. Light Belgian spice aroma in the nose, herbal. Taste has light bitterness, more of that yeast spice, farmhouse character there but not sour or not really funky. Solid sample of the style.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, straw, spices, fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, malt, herbs, fruits, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

On tap at Pudel, Tallinn. Hazy golden with a rather modest head. Fruity, yeasty and somewhat spicy aroma. A bit too yeasty for my taste, but dry and fruity with nice saison notes and spices. Still not my favourite style, but quite pleasant and refreshing.
