Bière ambrée aux reflets roux et à la mousse blanche et crémeuse. Son nez est malté et floral. Bière puissante justement contrebalancée par une rondeur appréciable en fin de bouche.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, nuts, caramel, malt, hops and notes of candy sugar.

Cloudy brown beer. Frothy white head. Soft frothy palate. Creamy malt with with a mildy sour caramel streak. Dry soft finish with a trace of aniseed. Typical French beer - soft and sweet and that’s fine by me!

A hazed dark amber to brown ale with a thick moka head, bottle gushed a bit, little floaties. A very nice aroma of fruit esters, caramel sugars, smooth alcohol, treacle. In mouth, a very belgian interpretation, with loads of caramel malt, fruity esters, burned nuts, herbal notes, smooth and pleasant. 750 ml from Cave a Bulles, bought in April 2010.

Stormy bubbles in an amber-brown muddy body, lots of fluffy beige head on top. Aroma is barley, chocolate, bread. Taste is a soft mix of malts and lots of alcohol on the back end, sour and dry finish. A really good bière de garde, but not the best.

Thanks to JoeMcPhee for sharing - hazy amber beer - moderate lace - somewhat doughy aroma, with a little bit of nutmeg, cinnamon, and other wintery spices, as well as some cherry and raisin - the flavor is similar - doughy up front, then some warming spicy character - some raisin, plum and quite a bit of caramel - a tiny bit of diacetyl, but it doesn’t distract - not bad at all.
