The “Stainless Edition” of this lager was fermented then cold conditioned in stainless fermentation tanks for 7 weeks. Triple decoction mash. Naturally carbonated. Unfiltered.

Deep gold. Medium head. Slight haze. Medium bitterness, slightly herbaceous hop, mild malt sweetness, the finish having a touch of astringency…so does the pitch soften that in the pitch version?

Left. Crisp, grainy malty and grassy hoppy with some hay, earthiness and rustic notes, mild bitterness. Crushable.

On tap at Godspeed, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of the stainless steel, some muted Saaz, and crackery malt. Flavour is dry, with metallic notes, some spic Saaz, and crackery malt. I prefer regular Sklepnik—I want more Saaz and less stainless. Still solid.

On tap at Luppolo. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Aromatic, spicy dry grass on the nose. Flavour has lots of dry, spicy grass with cracker malts. Good carbonation.

Draft at C’est What in Toronto. Brassy gold pour. Creamy white head. Earthy malt aroma hints at buttery hops. Flavor is sweet malt and noble hops. Great balance. Spicy Czech hops on backend lend a peppery finish.

Can. Golden color with a large head of foam. Rich Cz malts, herbal hop nose. Flavor is hoppy and bitter with rich bready malts and I get a hint of smoke. Crisp and clean. Nice stuff.
