Bottle, at Håndverkerstuene. It pours an almost clear brown body under a dense, finger-thick beige head. Some lacings. The aroma is vinous and roasted, with dried fruits and some berry hints. Whiffs of dark chocolate and nuts too. It’s lightly sweet on the palate, still it feels a tad too dry. It’s full bodied and soft, not much warmth. Dried fruits, some berries, roasted malts and some vinous notes in the flavor. Low on bitterness, it’s just there for balance. Lasting roasted and fruity finish. Lacks a little bit on sweetness this one I think, but it’s a pretty pleasant and tasteful beer anyway. 140503

Nice balanced stout. Has notes of roasted coffee malt, but also a soft touch of the milk. Has some herbs as well, anise I think.

Keg at Express Du Lyon, 7th May 14. This is a complex brew, sweet and bitter, Mocha, chocolate, bitter hop milkshake, slight tartness and burnt notes also, really good, not sweet really, with a lingering bitter hop kick at the back end

Bottle from StarmoreBoss, Sheffield. Very dark, clear, chestnut brown. Thin, filmy, sticky, tan coloured head. Dark, roast malt. Ripe, black fruit. Very light, grapefruit bitterness. Hint of roast coffee. Hint of liquorice. Plenty of lactic sweetness. Not quite ripe, black fruit, dryness. Loads going on. Very nice beer.

Piwo dobre czarne intensywne palone pachnace slodem pieczonym tostem, a w smaku lekko mleczne i stoutowe. Wytrawne mimo lekkiego wrazenia slodyczy w pierwszej fazie degustacji. Brazowawa spora piana, srednio trwala. Rozgrzewajaca i tresciwa sycaca koncowka.
