Ins Glas ergießt sich ein rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, etwas würzig. Geschmack röstmalzig, schokoladig, leicht würzig.

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Clear mahogany colour, coarse head. Caramel, boiled vegetables and sugar up front. Very sweet, molasses and brown sugar. Cardamom and saccharine,. No bitterness. Typical Harboe stuff.

500ml bottle. Clear, red glowing darkest brown colour with average, frothy, collapsing, tan head. Dark malty aroma, cautious coniferous woody and herbal hints of juniper berries. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, hints of treacle, rock sugar, a coniferous and herbal touch. Christmassy opulent, too sweet.

Bottle, 6.0%. Fruity and citric aroma. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet and farty, herbal and spicy. Smells a bit infected, but does not taste sour. A bit funky though, I do not think it panned out the way they would have liked it.

Bottle. Pours clear dark copper brown with airy, quickly vanishing light tan head. Faint aroma of hops and molasses. Sweetish flavour of molasses and malt, with estery and metallic notes. Bitter, metallic finish. Nothing special, to put it mildly.

(bottle) Mahogany colour with a beige mid-sized foamy head. Dark and moderately toasted malty aroma with berry-fruity and x-mas spicy notes of anise, cardamom and cinnamon. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty and fruity taste of berries and raisins, combined with a bearable x-mas spicy touch; sweet, fruity and moderately spicy finish with a delicate level of bitterness. A decent, not overspiced Christmas beer. 21.XI.13
