Draft at Grote Dorst. It pours pretty clear muted golden with a bubbly white cap. The aroma is toasty grains, damp, musty, kitty litter, play dough, bready, here is some fruit, gooseberry and white currant. The taste is firmly dry, quite bracing acidity, enamel rip, puckering, gooseberry, sour white grape, sea buckthorn, tannin, musty, damp oak, deep funk and some chalky minerality. Medium body, flat and slick. Quite sharp up against the others we had in the lineup. A prickly unblended fella.

Aroma has musty leather and gentle low-level funk. Flavour is bracingly acidic, with light leather and hay. Flat, of course, and not particularly invigorating. Meh.

On tap at Grote Dorst. Pours clear gold with no head. Musty old wood on the nose. Flavour has mildew, moderate tartness. Not bad.

17 March 2024. At In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst. Shared with the lovely Anke!
A: clear golden, thin, frothy, off-white head.
A: green apple, oak, hay, straw, wet grass.
T: sour green apple & pear, funky straw.
F: old grassy hops, funky apple, wood, bread.
P: light to medium body, slick texture, flat carbonation.
Easy-going, not too extraordinary Lambic.

5/V/24 - sample from bag-in-box @ Toer de Geuze, BB: n/a, 2022 vintage (2024-282) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear pale yellow blond beer, small aery irregular white head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, some apples, lots of pears, a bit earthy, some tannins, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: gentle acidity up front, malic acid, a little bitter, apple skin, some tannins, pretty dry. Aftertaste: bitter, lots of apples, pear skin, bitter, a little spicy in the finish.
