21/IX/24 - on tap @ Borefts Day 2, Brouwerij De Molen (Bodegraven), BB: n/a (2024-1016) Thanks to the Brewver crew for sharing today’s beers!
Clear dark brown beer, no head. Aroma: all peated whisky, some roast, hint of caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter, very smoky, very peated, very dry and bitter, pretty unpleasant. Aftertaste: more peat, smoky, just more peat, bitter, that’s about it.

Almost clear dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light palate for the style, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Crisp dark chocolate malts, quite light, a trace of dark chocolate cream. Huge band aid peaty whiskey, waaay too much for me. I appreciate some strange people will dig this and there is something to be enjoyed, for me, as the beer warms up. Ripe fruits and a little alcohol spice. Total peat fest, which I can drink and appreciate at arms length. Orangutan very long arms mind!

Bottle shared. Very dark brown. Massive peat, sweet malts, toffee, more peated whisky. Solid sweet and bitter. Full bodied. I don't get much beer, just massive peated whisky. Not bad, but a bit one dimensional.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt, earthy, peat notes. Taste: Smooth and quite dense body. Roasted malt, peat, hints of coffee. Boozy Whiskey notes. Hints of nuts, almond at the finish. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter. Very nice.
