Eadric Silvaticus was perhaps the original Green man; an anti hero thought to have inspired the legend of Robin Hood no less. Treading the red soils of Herefordshire and the Welsh Marches in the early part of the 11th century, Eadric was at the centre of the resistance of the Norman invasion and to this day, legend has it that he waits quietly in the woods ready to lead the Wild Hunt into battle to protect his land should it ever need defending.
A hint of spice is enveloped in a tangy acidity, tempered by a pleasing bitterness. Pairs beautifully with organic mild blue cheese or a rich beef stew.
Ingredients: Apples (Bisquet, Yarlington Mill, Foxwhelp)
Handpicked from unsprayed traditional standard orchards
Orchard/s: Jury, Duffryn

750ml bottle from Artistraw. Sparkling, orangey gold colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of apple, earthy, funk. Taste is tart, tangy, apple, woody, with earth & leather notes, some funk, bitter and drying tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tangy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
