0.5l bottle, huge thanks Fil for sharing with Ryan, Míra and me. Hazy golden-yellow body, white head. Sweet malty, grainy, bit floral, herbal, lightly stale aroma. DMS hits in the otherwise floral, honeyish and sweet taste. Naah.

Cloudy golden orange with a foamy head. Grain, malt, minerals, some stone fruit, bread. Mild dryness, grainy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry grainy finish. A solid unfiltered Helles, less abv would have been nice (5.3 abv is not ideal for a Helles). Quite similar to their Pilsner as well, but with less grassy hops.

0,5 l bottle from a Kaufland in Hamburg. BB 07/2026. Clear golden in the glass, more than one finger white foamy head. Grainy grassy aroma, some hay bitterness. Taste is smooth grainy with caramel and a big shot of citrus. Soft bitterness. Nice standard Helles.

Hiddenseer Hell, Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Steglitz. - Tennenmalz, Naturhopfen, offene Gärung an Seeluft, gar Flaschengärung - bei soviel Handwerklichkeit muß doch einfach ein Spitzenprodukt herauskommen, oder? - Helles Goldbraun, leicht trüb. - In der Nase kernig gerstig-brotiges helles Malz ohne die feine Süße und die milde herbale Hopfung, die man mit dieser Biersorte verbindet, stattdessen schwach zitronig. - Antrunk satt hellmalzig mit etwas Hefe, ein wenig Karamel und blaß zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung, die zuletzt in fast ranzige Herbe übergeht. Malzsüße ist kaum präsent, dafür säuerlich-brotige und gerstige Züge, die ich gern dem Tennenmalz zuschreibe. Milder rezent, hefeweich, leicht trocken. Im Abgang blaß zitrusfruchtig und einigermaßen solide hopfenherb. - Dieses Bier ist so weit von einem baierischen Hellen entfernt wie es nur geht. Bestenfalls könnte es als robuste norddeutsche Interpretation dieser Biersorte gelten. Man gewöhnt sich daran, aber ein Rest Enttäuschung bleibt. (22.12.2024.)

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bityter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of pale malt, mild spicy hops, straw. Taste of mild sweet pale malt, straw and spicy hops. Moderate bitterness.
