Draught @ The Hoptimist, Manhattan NYC (Apr 2025). Clear dark brown with reddish highlights, large spongy tan head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, initially mildly sweet mocha taste that turns medium bitter, coffee beans flavor, thin body, long coffee finish. Smooth and tasty.

Pint can - dark ruby pour - thick, substantial, light tan head - nose of chocolate, tobacco, cherry, leather - creamy texture, soft carbonation, medium-full body - flavor is medium-sweet, with mild dark fruit, dark bread, chocolate, light oak - the foeder brings a lovely roundness to the flavor and mouthfeel - lightly tannic finish - the nearly 11% abv is very well-masked - overall quite nice.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Near black, small head. Aroma of caramel, licorice and marzipan. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Mildly smoky licorice, tobacco, marzipan and caramel. Earthy and malty. Mildly warming mid bitter finish.

Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel, candy - sweet yeast, belgium yeast, barrel, dry, burnt - caramelized malt bitter.
