The chocolate in this beer is a specially selected and roasted blend by Krak, featuring Mexican cocoa, Soconusco El Vado Lote, which imparts herbal notes, ripe plums, red fruits, and a soft nuttiness.
Four peppers were selected after an extensive pepper taste test —Guajillo, ancho, Arbol, and Chipotle— to complement the chocolate, providing a beautifully warming layer of flavor to this pastry stout. Don't worry, no firefighters will actually be needed, you can handle this.
To enhance the depth of flavor, we've incorporated the finest vanilla, a dash of cinnamon, and a hint of coffee. This thick and indulgent beer is crafted for those sweet pastry moments that deserve a warming kick. Enjoy!

Can. Jet black pour with a fairly oily texture, no head. Deep cacao, banana notes, pleasant smoke, deep spice, light earthy notes. Opens sweet in the flavour, shows a bunch of cacao and dark sugars, some banana again, then the peppers join the party bringing smoke, meaty notes and a light touch of heat. Full oily bodied with soft carbonation. Well balanced, spicy but not too hot, straight up my alley

1/VIII/24 - 44cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Ardennes Holiday, BB: 23/I/26, canned: 23/I/24, batch 693 (2024-657)
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy irregular beige to brown head, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: smoky, peated actually, a bit funky, good roast. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: deep full chocolate roast, sugary, sweet, very creamy, some coffee. Aftertaste: roasted, bitter, nice deep rich chocolate notes, a bit of sugary sweetness, a hint of chilli (not enough to my liking, but hey, my chilli threshold is pretty high), some alcohol, pleasant one!

Can picked up from Drankgigant.nl webshop, Vlissingen, Netherlands and consumed at home Saturday 6th July listening to the new Kim Gordon album, after England scraped through once again via the penalty shootout. Pours shark eye black with a rapidly departing head, tan coloured I think. The chillies provide a pleasant warmth throughout, of course there is chocolate and of course a full on roastiness. It's a good stout, but I was wanting just a little more of everything.

Can shared at CBJ - cheers! Pours black-brown, clear, with a modest, foamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour with nice peaty notes, chocolate, earthy roast, a little black coffee, burnt pepper, ash. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, rich and rounded dark malts, burnt sugars. Tasty.
