In the days before lager, Pale Ale was the original reassuringly expensive tipple. Drinking it set you apart from the Bitter crowd. Our Pale Ale is more than special. English Goldings, American Cascade & Cluster hops provide the bitterness, whilst our unique dry hopping technique with bucketfuls of Cascade & Willamette hops gives it a tantalising aroma.

Light pine, some straw. Really not a lot of flavour here. Golden pour with decent head. Light bitter end. Bottle.

On tap in Heathrow terminal 2. Good brownish copper body and modest foam, hop and malt aroma balanced but very standard. Flavour is standard but clean malt and hop mix. Can't complain, straight ahead but done well.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Orange blonde color, pours an enormous head. Grassy hoparoma with hints of lemon and cookies. Firm grassy hopbitter flavor. Also enough citrusfruit and a firm malt character. Just a hint of salt. Very well brewed ale.

Keg. A pleasant lunchtime pint, that had a good flavour - once it had warmed up a bit as it was served way too cold - and a pleasant mouthfeel. A nice dark colour and a gentle flavour of hops coming through. Not the most exciting of beers, but solid.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. This was decent hoppy pale ale.
