Elegant and multilayered Imperial Red Ale. Caramelly round body combined with intense aromatic hopping and ruby red color. This fuels you up even for the longest of journeys and gives a nice glow on your face.

Ripe tropical fruit, citrusy and delicately piny Dog Sled Fuel pairs perfect with roast beef and stews. The caramel sweetness compliments also rich and creamy cheeses.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is caramel malt, rye, dark bread, toffee, piney hops, ripe fruits, lots of pine resin. Flavour is above medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is above medium. Fairly heavy resinous hopped Red Ale, slightly rough around the edges but I found it sufficiently tasty.

Draught@Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Deep amber colour with a mediumsized longlasting off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel, some dried fruits, mild toffee and sweetness. Flavour is caramel malts, some floral, dried fruity, mild figs as wel as some alcohol to it. A bit on the boozy side of things, even at 8.8 % abv.

33cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn. Pours clear deep amber with a lasting off-white head. Caramelly and hoppy aroma with notes of pine and dried fruits. Sweet, caramelly and quite hoppy with a deccent bitterness. Still a bit too much on the sweet side for my taste, but certainly decent.

Tap at Stone’s. Dark amber color, good creamy head. Caramel, grass, a bit rough, maybe a bit old. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, pineapple, marmalade, caramel, berryish. Meh. Needs rerate from fresh sample. 6/3/6/2/12 2.9. Re-rate tap at Beer Hunters. Aroma has caramalt, rye and some hops. Flavor is similar with crystal malty feeling. Not so rough now. A bit better. 7/3/6/3/12 3.1

Pours mahogany, bit of foam. Aroma is thick with rowan berries, has this dry dank berry feel to it. Fresh and edgy, you can feel it is not going to be that easy to drink. Taste has bitterness, more of rowan berries, they have this interesting tannin kick that dries your mouth all out, and then you need to drink that heavy red thing after that. Interesting beer and I am actually enjoying it - although probably would not crave for much more. But maybe still....
