12oz can from Tavour, canned 3/3/25, drunk 4/26/25.
Clear dark chestnut-mahogany.vsmall, dark beige head, lower retention.
Certainly smells well-done. Rounded, buttery oak vying with spicy Abbey esters and phenols. Good malt depth with dark chocolate and slight prune-raisin. Not boozey or too oaky. Rich dark fruit lingering.
Oh wow nice and malty. Maltier than the nose lets on. Chocolate, cherry, caramel, plum and fig with tasteful barrel character adding dryness and spice. Warm Christmas cheer feelings. No booze, low tannin, but just the right amount of barrel. Rich and fruity. This is very well-made stuff. Quite special. If this was less sweet, it wouldn't balance the barrel.

Aromas are dark malt, Belgian yeast, cocoa and a bit of roas t and oak. Flavors are similar to nose, slightly on the sweet side. Okay body and carbonation. Drinkable but nothing special.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear orange tinged brown with a slight, transient tan head. Aroma of bourbon, toffee, dark fruit and chocolate. Arguably full bodied. Not dry. Dark fruit sweet. Lots of bourbon and toffee. Notes of aged oak and vanilla. Heat is present and tends to offset the malt. Smooth, tasty sipper.

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, oppaque, spotty fine beige head. Malty aroma sinks into the bourbon barrel, warming, plums. Taste is chocolate, prunes, woody with some notes of bourbon. Bourbon more prominent in the aroma than the taste. Sweet, tingly, warming. Very tasty.
