Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel and hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Finish is soft, dry and light bitter. Body is almost thin, which is not how I remeber this from when it first came out. Have Harboe watered it down in order to keep the low price? 140211

(Can, Bishop’s Arms North, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, grainy malt and fresh hops. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grainy malt, orange peel and a dry finish with fresh hops giving it a balanced bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. Doesn’t really stand out, but it’s well balanced and highly drinkable.

Can. Poured a pale amber with an off white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma was a combination of roasted malts and citrus hops. Flavor had similar notes, it began with the roasted malts but finished the citrus hops. It was a bit awkwardly dry on the tongue.

Golden amber. Woody, spicy aroma of old-fashioned c-hop goodness. Moderately bitter. Woody with a slight hint of citrus. The finish mixes hop dryness with toasty caramel malts.

Can. A clear, dark golden beer with a small off-white to beige head, leaving some lacings. Sweetish on the nose, with floral and fruity aromas blending in nicely. Caramel, tea, lemon, peaches, pinecones, some resin, a touch of mandarin and some pale malts. Sweet on the palate, medium to full body and enough co2 to make it quite creamy. Some bitterness on the flavor, but the sweetness seems to pull most of the load. Peaches in syrup, resin and pinecones too. Some caramel and a hint of bread crusts. Sweet finish where the hops play second violin. Ok, so they use the hops quite wisely, but there’s too much sweetness to let the beers do what they’re supposed to do. Still, it’s a quite flavorful beer, but it fails to give me the refreshing feeling normally found in American-style pale ales. Considering the price, you won’t find many beers that are better than this one, at least not in the Nordic countries. (090408)

On tap in Malmö. Fresh aroma, with citrus and grass. The color is hazy orange. The flavor is fresh with citrus, hops and a small, small hint of honey in the end.
