Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is a bit weak I think, with caramel malts in the back. Some grapefruit and pine cones. It’s quite bitter on the palate, with a soft carbonation and caramel in the back. Toffee notes, resins and a grapefruit touch. Medium body. Lasting finish with grapefruit, pine cones and a maltyness. Too much on the malty side this one I think. 150228

Grasiger, sehr weicher Hopfenantrunk. Mild bitter, der Hopfen bleibt hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Hell holzig, zum Ende mit süßlichen Noten. 10/9/9/8/9/9

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #132: BBE 09/2016
Aroma is odd with fruit jam and some resiny hops. Also hints of grapefruit and gluey tones. Flavour has resiny hops, sweetish malt tones, rye, grapefruit and citron. Also some unusual plastic vibes typical to some session IPAs. Finishes with lingering hops and gluey tones. Feels a bit messy and worty.

Bottle from Alko (tnx oh6gdx). Dark amber color, small white head. Strong strawberry jam aroma or is it diacetyl? Medium-bodied. Malty, a bit ryeish. Lots of strawberry. This bottle is not ok.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - erä #132 - BBE 09/16, from Alko, 20150207) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, resin and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, resin, tangerine, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A good malt-forward hoppy pale ale.

330ml bottle from Alko
BBE 09/2016 (wtf?!) - Pours dark copper orange with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, rye, toffee, fruits, berries and grassy hops. Taste is smooth, hoppy and crisp with some rye, caramel and fruits, hints of berries and herbal notes. Finish is malty, hoppy and fruity with some grass and hints of rye. Okay, quite balanced.

A dark, slightly reddish beer with a weak and blond head. The aroma has tropical mangos and papaiyas, fresh pine needles, some fructose and grapefruits. Taste is strongly piney, some grapefruits and tropical fruits, richness of malts. The bitterness is not very strong but the piney aftertaste is long lasting. Medium+ bodied, low carbonation, easy to enjoy and nicely smooth. Piney and also tropical IPA. Propably, the rye gives a strenght for the body but still the beer isn’t heavy. Good beer.
