Bottleshare at Matteoโ€™s. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, dry with reasonable carbonation. Smooth rich dark malts, mild roast. Mild dark chocolate.Tangy dark fruits. Some tropical fruits lift this up a lot. Light tropical finish leaves a spicy hop linger. Nice one.

Pours a pitch black color, topped with a very generous and nicely lasting dark beige head, nice lacing as well. Pleasant fruity hoppy nose with some citruses and more tropical fruits. And just a nice touch of chocolate in the back. Chocolate sweetness, a touch of roastines and fine hoppy bitterness, quite piney feel to it. Finishing with a quite present alcohol warmth, but still not too intense. Medium strong but lengthy aftertaste. Medium full creamy body. Proper strong BIPA.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; opaque black pour with a big frothy light tan head, aroma has rich chocolate and hints of pine, tarred has some impressive roast, chocolate, dark fruits, that pine action youโ€™d expect from a CDA, quite a slick mouthfeel.
