Keg at the Howling Hops Tank Bar - Hackney Wick, London. Pours oily black with a dense, tan cream head. The nose holds good burnt pine, chocolate, orange and melon. Medium to big sweet flavour with nice roast, bitter char, oily pine, juicy tropical fruits, orange and tangerine. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming and resinous on the finish, with more chocolate and roast, moderate piney bitterness, scorched earth, fresh citrusy hops. Excellent. Seems like HH have really stepped it up recently.
