Nelson Sauvin Saison.
Frejdahl Gudmund is a golden Saison brewed on Danish barley, Nelson Sauvin hops and Danish mead aged in used white wine barrels from Bourgogne. Flavors of gooseberry, passion fruit, grapes and pepper.

Optisch schönes Gold, zügige Perligkeit. Im Riechorgan süßlich, Trauben, Rootbeer. Im Trunk leichte Süße, mittig Malz, hinten alkoholisch. Schwer auszumachen.

75cl bottle from Beer Gonzo. Pours hazy yellow, large white head. Aroma is earthy spice with light citrus. Taste is earthy saison yeast with soft floral moments. Nelson Sauvin is quite low in the mix. Not as clear and flavoursome as I imagined. So-so.

Kochsgade Friday afternoon tasting in November. Hazy golden with a small white head. Malty aroma with a fruity touch and a litte earthy character. Sweet fruity and spicy flavour with a hint of the dusty Vestfyen house flavour

75 cl bottle from supermarket. clear yellow, white head. sweet flowery note and dough dominates, caramelly and flowery sweetness. flavor is spicy, peppery bitter, quite sweet, faint flowery notes, faint fruity notes.. if i was to guess i would guess belgian blonde or a somewhat weird tripel, the sweet notes are from mead i can see now, that actually makes a lot of sense, the flowery sweetness was honey. i would not call this a saison by any means, it’s hardly even belgian judging by the flavor. But wth, if the brewer says this is a saison, it probably is an attempt to make a saison. hyped as a quality beer for "kendere" acc. to label. i beg to differ, This is a decent beer, sort of like a belgian blonde, might even stand up against the more commercial belgian blonde’s and tripel’s, like for instance leffe blonde - but a beer nerd would be somewhat dissapointed if he expect something out of the ordinary, and doubly so if he expects a saison. Just sayin’
