Draught @ SOPP 2015, Helsinki

Pours dark brown with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, berries, yeast and earthy notes. Taste is yeasty, stuffy and farmyardy with loads of rye bready notes. Finish is sweet, yeasty and earthy with some berries and syrup. Almost like a Sahti, but not quite.

(Keg at SOPP Helsinki 2015) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, sweetness and mildly juniper. Palate was medium bodued with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, juniper and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A nice brew.

Tap at Õllesummer. Pours dark brown with beige head. The small head stays for some time. Aroma is weak, berries, roast, sourness. Flavor is sweet, sour and some bitterness, roast, juniper berries, gooseberries and touch of spiciness. Overall: weird brew. It was served way too cold (hence flavor and aroma were very muted) and I didn’t have time to warm it up. Will rerate when I have a chance.
