Tap at Winter Affair '25. Notes are brief. One of the highlights of the festival, if nothing else, then because of its innovative character. I can not remember any other hazelnut - berry- sour combo beer in my drinking history and it was a surprisingly refreshing combo too. Well made, excellent.

Tap at Winter Affair 2025. Clearish red body, pinkish head. Nutty aroma, some berries. Nutty taste, hazelnut wafers though, Napolitanke, some tart berries, quite lean, nice, fun, but the intensity of the pastry aspect had me think that 1dl was quite enough, kinda less appealing than the sum of its parts.

Keg at Craft Beer Junction, Bermondsey, 29/02/24. Deep purple topped with a good sized crimson cap. Nose is hay bale, straw, blackberries, nutty, herb, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises berry pulp, vanilla essence, chocolate shavings, blackcurrants, lactic tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Fun enough sour if a touch on the sweet side.

On tap at Craft Beer Junction, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is full of lactose, black currant, and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour is fairly sweet, with black currant, lacto, and lactose. Too sweet and artificial for me. Meh.

Keg at CBJ. A light haze on this cherry colour beer, decent pink head. Airy and fairly dry palate, decent fine carbonation. A slightly burned berry and wood flavour that I can take or leave. Mostly leave. Light dry finish Yeah, a pass for me.

16oz can @ monthly tasing, Chez Sophie, May 23. Thanks Simon for this. Hazed deep red appearance, small head. First impressions reveal a lactosey hazelnut base, with additional chocolate and ferrero rocher notes emerging.. mirage-like mixed berries that don't quite materialise. Not for me I'm afraid.
