3/VIII/24 - 33cl bottle @ home, BB: VI/2026 (2024-679) Thanks to Benzai for sharing the bottle!
Clear orange beer, creamy white head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty start, sweet impression, yeasty, caramel, ripe banana, earthy, some tobacco. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sourish first, a little malty, bitter, a bit resinous, hoppy, chemical bitterness. Aftertaste: pretty sugary, malty, grains, ripe banana, a little bitter, sourish finish, meh.

Bottle shared at tasting. Murky brownish color, small to average sized beige head. Aroma is indeed barley wine mixed with apple brandy. Beer is exactly as the label says, I like that.

Bottle at home 01/01/2024 Sweet malty with layers of dried fruit shred, spice, yeast, getting the apricot brandy throughout - and really well balanced, medium body, brandy laced and spiced sweet malty warming finish. Gorgeous. --- Beer merged from original tick of VAT#70 Klabats! Barrel Aged Apricot Brandy on 26 Mar 2025 at 12:19 - Score: 8.
