Re-rating 27.6.2015: Drunk from can. Smell of roasted malt. Aroma of roasted malt, some plastic. Finishes with a faint of sugar. Very lively carbon, rather light body. Very sweet. Works quite nicely.

Draught at Vltava, Helsinki. Poured an extremely dark red body, almost black with a thick tan head. Sweet creamy nose, raisins. The taste is sweet as well, light raisins again, cranberries maybe or some aspect of their taste anyway, maybe bubblegum. It does sound fruitier in this rate than it is, but it’s just another Czech dunkel. Nice and light, the only "bad" thing being some cardboard somewhere in there, that I might as well have imagined.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown in colour with some red tinges and small head. Roasted aroma with some malt and some coffee notes. Intially quite fizzy on the tongue although this quickly subsides. The taste is roasted with coffee, malt and a hint of cola. Quite pleasant.

Bottled. Dark brown, firm head.Sugary nose. Sweet and light bodied. Light boided with clean, hard mouthfeel. Light roasty malt mingles with saccharine and artificial cherries. Finishing almost without bitterness. This beer illustrates why dark beers are regarded a women thing in Czechia.

Presented as a Royal beer from the Czech republic! Ruby dark colour wth a lasting off white head and lots of dimples. Burnt malty aroma. Different taste with notes of caramel, oats and wort. A good partner to goulash. (500ml bottle from Kilpis, Finland at a taste test together with Finn and Catweazle 11.04.2006).
