As soon as you smell it you will know this is one decadent porter. The rich aroma is from the healthy dose of Chocolate malt, blended with Pale, Crystal and Wheat malts. Bramling Cross hops add fruitiness and earthiness to the beer, which is fermented with an English yeast.

660 ml bottle. (ABV is 4.7%) Pours a clear reddish brown with a large, frothy, tan head that laces. Roasted malt aroma with notes of nuts, chocolate and smoke. Sweet flavour of chocolate, roasted malt, nuts, caramel and peat smoke with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation.

Draft @ Ølfestival 2014. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with weak hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with tan head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is rich coffee, fruits, and roast. Taste is coffee, roast, dark chocolate, and nuts in the background. Finish is coffee bitter with smoke. Overall: nice brew.

Keg at The York Tap. Pours dark brown, big beige head, high carbonation. Light roast aromas, chocolate and coffee. Taste is more of the same, with a clean finish. Solid.

660 ml bottle thanks to Ingo! Label state 4.7% ABV. BB 20 June 2013.Sampled on Novamber 29, 2013.Clear dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty, grainy, coffee scent. Light, acidic, dry, grainy taste. Coffee, grainy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Cask at the Euston Tap, with Svesse on 20th November 2013. Deep brown with thin decaying head giving scant lacing. Rich roast aromas with Christmas pudding and fruity berries. Coffee, Christmas pudding, citrus peel and roasts in mouth. Tangy finish with citrus tingling on the foretongue. Zingy, with light body. Delicious.

66cl bottle @ Il Molo, Ferrara, BB 30-09-2014. Brune foncée, col épais beige. Arôme est malté grillé très anglais avec pas mal de belles effluves torréfiées. Palais est profond au niveau des malts avec un très bon caractère grillé, café qui reste ici très anglais mais fortement bien exécuté.Petite touche de chocolat, léger grillé, caramel et touche de crystal sur un houblonné anglais EKF voire Fuggles qui offre une touche citronnée en fin de bouche et complémente très bien une bière axée sur les malts. A 4.7% c’est franchement bien fait.
