500ml can, pours a yellow coloured body. Herbs, perfume citrus and some sweet notes to the nose, hints of wood, clove, but mostly perfume and citrus in taste as well. It’s probably a nice and refreshing drink on a Turkey beach, but feels quite sad, thin and bland on a rainy day in Tromsø. Sampeled at Rating Session 16.06.14. Thanks to Rune for sharing and to his missus for bringing it from Turkey to Tromsø.

500ml can carried back home from Izmir by Frau Eva. A few tiny bubbles at the top of a crystal clear, yellow-gold body. Hard water and pale malts on the nose. Taste of grainy malts with modest herbal hints to the ending Soft to lively carbonated. Anonymous (shared with friends, Tromsø 18,06.2014).

Bottle at Bodrum Cafe in Istanbul. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, caramel and fruit. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Kind of like a lighter Malt Liquor. Slightly below average overall.

0,5 l bottle with a very good looking label art. Looks evenso good in the glass, clear golden, fine white but short living head. More like mash on the nose. Tastes light dry malty, hay and caramell, all on a low level, not too sweet. No typical Pilsener herb, more than a lager but drinkable.

Fra (flere) flasker i Alanya: jøje meg, filtrert eller ufiltrert, dette havner nesten utenfor bordkanten.I godt nedkjølt tilstand er det en (såvidt) passabel tørsteslukker på en varm strand. Greier ikke kjenne forskjell på disse Efes-versjonene. Tragisk at Efes/Tuborg har noe som minner om monopol i Tyrkia.
