On a nice hot summer day, when fields of barley wer golden, came out of nowhere a whorlwind that picked up the barley and neighbor Mati’s hop plants. It blew the haul to the yard of Käbliku Brewery, where the local brewers gathered it all, stuck it into a pot and brewed a fresh double IPA.

Bottle. Hazy, creamy foam. Aroma: hoppy, fruity, grapefruit, spicy. Taste: quite fruity, peel, bitter, white port, warming.

On tap at Koht, pours a deep dark orange amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out caramel malts and resinous hops, with an earthy character and quite a malt-forward character. Flavour is very malty, with lots of sweet caramel malt upfront, with a less-than-adequate resinous hop component. Too sweet for my North American palate and desire for a IIPA. Sweet but decent.

Draft at Emajoe. Clear deep golden color, white head. Pine aroma. Bitter pine taste

Bottled 330ml (Uba ja Humal, BB 12/2017)
Dark orange-amber color, small steady off-white head. Aroma has passion fruit and pineapple. Medium-bodied. Lots of mango, pineapple sweetness in the flavor. Some citrus in the oily finish. Quite tropical fruity sweetish DIPA. Hides ABV well. A bit too sweet for my liking.

330ml bottle. Sweetish and caramely malty with some pine, resin and citrus. Doesn’t feel very fresh.

Bottle at hotel room in Helsinki. Thanks to Jookos! Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Pine, caramel, biscuit, some fruits, some hops and malts.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Ruoholahti. Thanks Jookos! Aroma has caramel malt and resin. Also some sweet fruits. Flavour has resiny malt, some caramel, harsh malty notes and mild menthol. A bit unusual bot good.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grassy citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy bitter finish.
